ROEMER
INSURANCE: A PROUD WELLBIZ COMPANY!
July 15, 2007, Toledo,
OH...Toledo-based Roemer Insurance proudly announced it has been
chosen for the WellBiz program, a three-year pilot program designed
to help local employers advance employee wellness. “I could
not be more enthusiastic,” said President and CEO, Rocky
Roemer. “We are one of a select group. Only five local employers
were chosen for this,” he added. WellBiz participants will
receive professional support from Harris HealthTrends Incorporated
and the Lucas County Healthy Communities Foundation to implement
state-of-the-art workplace wellness programs.
Roemer Insurance currently
has programs in place to support employee wellness and sees the
WellBiz program as a valuable addition to its health and wellness
offerings. “It’s well documented. A healthy workforce
ultimately results in greater productivity for the employer and
a higher income and quality of life for the worker,” explained
Mr. Roemer. “Enhancing employee wellness increases both
morale and productivity and decreases absenteeism and healthcare
costs,” he concluded.
The WellBiz program
is sponsored by The Healthy Communities Foundation, Toledo Regional
Chamber of Commerce and Harris HealthTrends Incorporated. WellBiz
program participants also include Bollin Label Systems, Brooks
Insurance Agency, Fifth Third Bank Corporate office and Shumaker,
Loop & Kendrick, LLP.
